At Wydnow, we believe in true privacy. We don't collect, store, or track your personal information. All conversations are ephemeral and exist only during your active chat session.

What We Don't Collect

We do not collect, store, or retain any of the following:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
• Chat messages or conversation history
• IP addresses or location data
• Device information or browser fingerprints
• Usage analytics or tracking data
• Cookies or persistent identifiers

Ephemeral Data

All chat data is ephemeral, meaning it exists only temporarily in server memory during an active chat session:

• Messages are stored only in temporary server memory during active chats
• When you disconnect or leave a chat, all messages are immediately deleted
• No messages are written to disk or stored in databases
• No chat history is retained after a session ends
• Server restarts clear all temporary data

Local Storage

We use browser local storage only for temporary session management (such as your nickname and university selection for matching purposes). This data:

• Stays on your device only
• Is never sent to our servers except during active chat sessions
• Can be cleared at any time through your browser settings

Third-Party Services

We do not use third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services. Your conversations are not shared with any external parties.

Your Privacy Rights

Since we don't collect or store your data, there's nothing to request, delete, or export. Your privacy is protected by design - when you leave, everything is gone.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change our privacy practices to collect data, we will update this policy and notify users. Currently, our commitment is to collect zero data.
